Multimedia posting 2/10/16

One class in particular that truly stands out would have to be US History. In this class, we learn about all events of history that had occurred when America had climbed the mountain of obstacles to the day how it is now. This class portrays how life went for many people throughout time, and informs what these people had done to get their name well known in our society currently. Without having US History, we would not be able to know a single thing about the past of our nation, and that would be absolutely disappointing if we chose to not know how the past was in America.

Ms Garvin has been in Wood-Ridge High school for awhile, teaching all her students about not just US History, but other histories such as World History, European History, and other subjects of countries history. The first thing I had expected when I entered the class was how will she manage a class full of savage sophomores, but very intellectual sophomores I might add. Our class is packed with diverse and phenomenal students that work extremely hard to get where they are in life, and that's exactly how Ms. Garvin is. A sweet and kind teacher, that only wants the best of her students, she treats her students as if it's her own children. I have learned about the corruption of our nation, governments being demolished, and revolutions occurring from US History.

I am glad that I will be able to attend a field trip with the other US History classes to the tenement museum in New York, sadly, this trip has been rescheduled due to the fact that the blizzard crushed our hopes of going. In her class, she uses Google Slides everyday to help both herself and the class on the lesson she is informing us for the day in class. Occasionally, we use the chromebooks for project or research assignments, most of the time we are working on completing WebQuests on the devices. Ms. Garvin has been by far one of my favorite teachers I have ever had in school.
